Learn how JustRandom handles tool input, browser storage, technical information, cookies, analytics, and advertising.
Last updated: August 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains the current practices for the JustRandom website and tools. It is written for users, and it is not a substitute for professional legal advice.
Overview
JustRandom is a general-purpose browser utility website. This policy applies to the JustRandom website and the tools available on it. The current collection includes tools for numbers, strings, lists, passwords, samples, pairs, prompts, topics, questions, and other browser-based randomization tasks.
Information users enter into tools
Depending on the tool, users may enter names, list items, wheel options, number or time ranges, sample sizes, and other tool settings. Based on the current implementation, this information is processed directly in the browser and is not submitted to a JustRandom application backend.
JustRandom does not provide user accounts, and tool input is not intentionally collected as account information. Browser extensions, operating systems, networks, and other software outside JustRandom may behave under their own controls.
Browser storage
The Wheel Picker may store valid wheel options and the selected spin speed in localStorage on the current browser so the wheel can be reused across visits. The stored payload is validated before use, and malformed or unsupported saved data is discarded.
The theme switcher stores the selected light or dark theme preference in localStorage. Coin Flip, Dice Roller, Random Number Generator, Random Name Picker, and Random Team Generator do not intentionally save their entered values or results to localStorage in the current implementation.
Users can clear locally stored information through available tool controls or browser site-data settings. Clearing browser data may remove saved wheel options, spin speed, and theme preference. If browser storage is blocked, affected tools are designed to continue working for the current session where possible.
Information processed automatically
When a user requests the website, technical information may be processed by the hosting and infrastructure provider to deliver, secure, diagnose, and maintain the site. This may include IP address, browser type, device type, requested page, date and time of request, referring page, and diagnostic or security information.
Vercel is used as the primary hosting and deployment platform for the static export. JustRandom does not use a separate application server to receive tool input.
Cookies and similar technologies
JustRandom does not set cookies for user accounts or core tool functionality. localStorage is browser storage and is different from a cookie. JustRandom currently uses localStorage for the theme preference and, in the Wheel Picker, saved options and spin speed.
JustRandom uses a necessary first-party cookie to remember whether optional analytics cookies were accepted or rejected. Optional Google Analytics cookies are used only after consent. Detailed cookie names, purposes, and durations are listed in the Cookie Policy.
Analytics
JustRandom uses Google Analytics 4 only after optional analytics cookies are accepted. Analytics helps understand aggregate website usage and may collect information such as page views, approximate location, device and browser information, referral source, and interaction measurements.
User-entered tool values, names, options, teams, and generated results are not intentionally sent through custom analytics events. Custom tool events are limited to tool identifiers, categories, and actions; they do not include tool inputs or generated outputs.
Advertising
Google AdSense and other advertising services are not implemented in the current application code. JustRandom may display third-party advertising in the future, and this policy should be updated when advertising services are enabled.
This task does not add an AdSense Publisher ID, verification script, ad unit, consent banner, or ads.txt entry.
Third-party service providers
The confirmed service provider documented for production delivery is Vercel, which may process technical request information to host and deliver the static website. Third-party providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
How information is used
Information is used to deliver the website, operate tool functionality in the browser, preserve user-selected local settings, secure and diagnose the website, and respond to messages voluntarily sent by users.
Data retention
Tool input stored in localStorage remains in the user's browser until it is replaced, cleared through tool controls, removed by browser settings, or removed by the browser. Hosting or infrastructure logs, if maintained by the hosting provider, are handled under that provider's practices.
Messages voluntarily sent to contact@justrandom.tools may be retained as needed to review, respond to, and maintain records of the request. No exact retention period is defined in the current project configuration.
User choices
- Avoid entering sensitive information into JustRandom tools.
- Clear browser localStorage or site data when needed.
- Clear or block browser cookies using browser controls.
- Use browser privacy settings and extension controls.
- Reopen Cookie settings from the footer to accept, reject, or withdraw optional analytics cookies.

Blocking browser storage may affect features that rely on saved local settings.
Sensitive information
Do not enter unnecessary sensitive or confidential information into JustRandom tools. Examples include passwords, financial account information, government identification numbers, medical information, or confidential business information.
Children's privacy
JustRandom is a general-purpose utility website and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
