Dice Roller

Roll one or more standard six-sided dice and total the result.

Roll six-sided dice

Choose how many standard six-sided dice to roll at once.

Use 1 to 12 dice. Decimal values are not supported.

How the dice roller works

Choose how many standard six-sided dice to roll, then press Roll Dice. The tool generates one independent value from 1 through 6 for every die.

The total is calculated from the visible dice values after each roll. Roll Again keeps the current dice count, while Reset restores the default setup and clears the current result.

Dice count and limits

The first version supports 1 to 12 standard six-sided dice. Decimal values, custom side counts, modifiers, roll history, and saved presets are intentionally outside this initial scope.

Common use cases

  • Roll dice for casual board games.
  • Run a quick classroom activity.
  • Choose a random count from a small dice pool.
  • Support simple tabletop play.
  • Resolve low-stakes everyday decisions.

Randomness and privacy

Dice rolls use casual browser randomness for everyday decisions. This tool is not intended for betting, gambling, regulated draws, financial decisions, legal decisions, medical decisions, or security-sensitive randomness.

Rolls happen locally in your browser. Dice count and result values are not intentionally saved to localStorage, placed in the URL, sent to a server, or tied to an account.
